Ashes To Ashes...

A little hiatus here at the Addiction but we are back on track...
Urban Artifacts... Thats what I call these odd things that I collect that no longer seem to have a use in todays homes but have not lost their cool factor. Very cheap but not always easy to find. Well, ash trays certainly fall into that category. In the past these things were common. Most homes had them and a lot of people smoked. Now today we don't use them for their intended purpose but they look awesome with Mid Century decor. Here are some of the collection...
-A neat heart shaped tray with wire legs that has some cool white splatter glaze on it.
-A simple pink tray with gold flecks that has found a home in the guest bedroom. I looks great with the other pink bedroom accessories... but more on those later.
-And then my absolute favorite... The turquoise boomerang tray. They don't come any better than that.
Our collection won't stop here and we will update everyone on any new finds. We are always on the look out for new ones. Smoke em' if ya got em'.

Great post. We have alot of ashtrays in our smoke-free, mid-century modern home as well. They are great accessories and are useful for many things other than smoking.

We did a post on our blog during the Holidays about smoking accessories - check it out here.

I enjoy you blog - Thanks!

those ones with the legs are hard to find too, there are a lot of repro ones there, I have two of the original ones with the legs and an x boyfriend stole an orange one!
