Make It! Mid Century Modern...

I'm not sure what to make of this one. I love to see books and magazines going after Mid Century stuff. I have picked up Ready Made a few times and seen a few Mid Century inspired projects in there. Cool stuff but not enough to justify buying the entire magazine. Well this is all Mid Century, so I'm told.

Make It! Mid Century Modern is a book that can either be purchased in hard copy or PDF file from the link. The book is 76 pages and includes full scale printable templates. From what I can tell it includes some pretty famous designs. The PDF download is $9.99  and the hard copy is $18.00.


I don't have this book and I don't think I will be getting it. It is a good idea but the projects in it don't seem to be very advanced. If a person has the tools and the ability to create a Nelson ball clock then that person probably doesn't need directions on how to do it. It is a project that is simple enough to be deconstructed just by looking at it. That person could save that $18 on materials for a project. Again. That isn't a jab on the authors. I would have selected projects that are a bit tougher. Maybe a second advanced book.
